  Guestbook

Hi Paul. Yes its that elizabeth, frizzy red hair funny walk etc. it seems fromyour website that you are based in milan. i spend about about a third of the year in the venice. It would be great to see you again after all these years. When \i came out to Utah I was 21 next week 54 but i still think about you. Still sing a bit although my last lutinist got married so prefers to pluck along with his wife. I am now an academic teaching renaissance lit but writing a book on 18th c navy. perhaps somehow we can meet half way between milano and venezia. I would love to see you again and perhaps have a quick sing and also to meet your family. Last time we wrote you said you had a daughter. well best wishes from liz. I hope after all this message you remember who i am.

Dear Paul, I love the way you make Italian lute music come alive after so many centuries - I've also started intabulating some lute music you may not know with your amazing programme. Keep up the truly inspiring musicality - long may you pluck & strum!

Paul, It is Richard Smith, psych prof from UofU and dear friend of your father. Just wonderful to find your site. I left Utah in 1981 and have lived on Central Coast of California since. Seen your Dad only twice in those years and those visits offered my only personal updates on your amazing career-- but I have bought the CDs when discovered. I found you this time because I have your original goya. The instrument is shot, but I thought it might have sentimental value. If so, tell me where to send it, and say hello.
Richard

Dear Paul, since I met you first at Royal college in London and later on, when we did concerts together , I always adored your access to the very delicate lute-music! Your friend Ilse Neumaier (soprano, leader of choir and chamber-orchestra in Uzès, France)
